Regional Accents

Regional accents

Regional accents are an important aspect of voice reproduction. A woman from South Carolina speaks very differently to a woman from New York. In order to reproduce these accents deceptively realistically, we use voice imitators with our patent-pending STS model, which imitate the accent. They record the desired texts with us and we then overlay the voice from the voice sample received. In this way, we achieve a very accurate reproduction of the voice.

How do i write a text

The text templates of the relatives can be based on the following points:

* Reflect on shared memories: Think about the shared experiences, moments and characteristics of the deceased person that were particularly important to you. These can serve as a starting point for your message.

* Express your feelings: Share your feelings and thoughts in the message. Whether it's gratitude, love, sadness or even encouragement - let your true emotions flow. Remember that it is not you who will be speaking, but the deceased person to you.

* Personal message: Write what you would like to say to the person if you had the chance to do so again and then think about what they would say to you from the perspective of the deceased. This could be a thank you, an unfinished conversation or simply an expression of love and affection.

* Appreciation and remembrance: Think of the qualities, characteristics or achievements of the deceased person and write down your thoughts. Remember the positive aspects and how they influenced your life from that person's perspective.

* Farewell and wishes: Conclude your message with a farewell greeting or good wishes. This can be a final farewell, a blessing or encouragement for the future.

Ethical guidelines

The following points are an important basis for the use of synthesised voices...

* Respect for the deceased: Imitating the voices of the deceased could be seen as disrespectful to the dead, as their identity is reconstructed and used without consent.- Consent and privacy: Deceased persons could not consent or object to their voice being used in such AI applications during their lifetime. The use of their voices could violate their privacy and will.
* Manipulation and misuse: The manipulation of deceased voices could potentially be misused for fraudulent or manipulative purposes, for example to create fake messages or audio recordings.
* Impact on the bereaved: The use of voices of the deceased in AI applications could evoke emotions such as sadness, confusion or even discomfort in the bereaved. They may be distressed when the voices of their deceased loved ones reappear in unexpected ways.
* Cultural and religious considerations: In some cultures or religions, the use of voices of the deceased might be considered sensitive or inappropriate as it could offend the faith or beliefs of certain communities.
* Ethics of the technology: The development and use of such AI technologies raises questions about the ethics of the technology in general, including the responsibility of the developers and the ethical boundaries in creating such applications.

The foundation of our daily work is based on these questions. We only work on a project once all ethical issues have been clarified. It is therefore important that ethical considerations and moral principles are taken into account. To this end, we have implemented guidelines for the ethical use of such AI technologies. Every interested party must read and sign these guidelines when using STS or TTS technology. This also includes transparency in the use of generated votes and the country-specific inclusion of laws and regulations designed to prevent the misuse of such technologies. The ethical guidelines vary from country to country.
